Open-in-browser links

Paste a link and get a short goodlabs.kz/go link. Tapped inside Instagram or TikTok, it hands the visitor to Safari or Chrome, where logins, saved cards and Apple Pay work. In a normal browser it is a plain redirect.

What happens on tap

Instagram on iPhone
The page asks Instagram to open the link outside the app. Instagram shows its own confirmation; one tap and the visitor is in their default browser.
TikTok on iPhone
TikTok does not allow an automatic jump, so the page shows one button: Open in Safari. One tap.
Instagram and TikTok on Android
An Android intent asks the system to open the link in the default browser. Instagram shows its own leave-the-app confirmation first; one tap. TikTok blocks the automatic jump, so it needs one tap on our button.
Facebook and Threads
Threads behaves like Instagram. Facebook on iPhone needs the same one tap as TikTok; on Android the intent fires automatically and the app may ask once before leaving.
Telegram, WhatsApp and most other apps
Apps whose built-in browser identifies itself get the same screen: Open in Safari on iPhone, the default browser on Android. An app that hides its browser gets a plain redirect.
Any real browser
Safari, Chrome, desktop: straight to your page. No interstitial.

Honest limits

  • In-app browsers change their rules without notice. The page always keeps a visible button, a copy-link option and a 'continue here' link, so nobody gets stuck.
  • The link does not expire and needs no account. We store the destination URL and nothing about the visitor; there are no click stats. Put UTM tags on the destination if you need to count.
  • Links that lead to phishing or malware are removed: report them to dilshat@goodlabs.kz.
  • On iPhone, visitors from a real browser pass through a hidden check page that drops the referrer, so the destination sees them as direct traffic unless the link carries UTM tags.

FAQ

Why do my links open inside Instagram and TikTok?

Both apps open tapped links in their own embedded browser (a WebView) instead of Safari or Chrome. It keeps people inside the app and lets the app observe the page. The visitor is logged out of everything, has no saved cards or passwords, and Google sign-in refuses to run there.

Is the hand-off automatic?

Not silently. Instagram shows its own leave-the-app confirmation on both iPhone and Android; the visitor taps once and lands in the default browser. TikTok allows the jump only after a tap on our button, on both platforms. There is no fully silent escape from these apps; services that promise one are describing the same confirmation.

Does the redirect break UTM tags or affiliate parameters?

No. The destination is stored as a normalised URL, query string included, and the final hop is a redirect to that URL. Parameters that Meta or TikTok append to the short link itself, such as fbclid, ttclid or extra UTM tags, are carried over to the destination; a tag the destination already has keeps its value. Cookies set by the destination land in the real browser, which is the point: attribution survives the visit.

Can I use my own domain or see click counts?

Not here. This is the free, no-account version: goodlabs.kz/go links, no stats. For a branded domain with click stats and QR codes we set up the short-link service for clients.

The click reached the browser. Did the conversion reach your report?

This link fixes the first break: the visit now happens where cookies, logins and payment live. The next breaks are quieter. The Instagram click arrives without a referrer, the pixel fires in one browser and the purchase in another, and the channel report credits direct. Those are the gaps an audit traces.
